Why should I become a member of Our Family Kitchen?
By following Our Family Kitchen recipes you can rest assured that you are eating healthy, your meals will be packed with veggies, lean proteins, healthy fats, keeping the calories and sodium low without compromising on taste. Select and make about 10 recipes a month to save you time and money each week.
What are freezer meals?
Freezer meals are made in advance, can be stored in your freezer for up to 3 months and can be cooked in one pot, pan or dish. Our Family Kitchen’s recipes include multiple cooking options suited to your preference.
How do I make this work?
Select your favorite recipes, print your grocery list with all the ingredients you will need to prepare the meals you’ve selected. We recommend preparing about 10 different meals at a time. You may also want to prepare 2 meals at a time with each recipe for a total of 20 meals. Reserve about a 2-3 hour window and follow the recipe instructions to prepare all your meals at once, place them in the freezer and enjoy throughout the month, saving time during the busy week while ensuring you are still eating healthy.
What materials do I need?
Our Family Kitchen recommends using gallon size freezer bags and meal prep stands like these available online through major retailers like Amazon or Walmart. Stands hold the bag upright and open during the prepping process.
Who is Our Family Kitchen?
We are a mother daughter team, Jen and Jess, from Southwest Montana. We’ve struggled with our own health and weight management challenges and grew tired of eating the same meals over and over in our family. Jess is on her way to becoming a nurse and she has used her skills to customize all of our recipes to keep us on track to reach our health goals. We’d like to share our efforts with you!
Our Family Kitchen is a non-profit and all proceeds are used to advance our mission to increase access to healthy food for all!

I’m not sure how to cook my meal. Where are the instructions?
Cooking instructions are included with each recipe. We often provide multiple methods you can follow to cook your meal depending on what you prefer and how much time you have.
What do I need to bring to a group class?
Please bring a cooler to store and carry your meals home.
What happens during a private virtual class?
Our Family Kitchen will send you 3 recipe options to choose from, select one and we will send you a grocery list. We will meet virtually and prepare the meal together sharing all the tips and tricks to making meal prep a success in your home.
